Hey Guys! Another tutorial for you. Today's tutorial is on the popular Twitter (yes, I really like Twitter) client, TweetDeck! One of the reasons I believe for it's popularity is that it's cross-platform, using Adobe AIR. But...it requires Adobe AIR. But no matter! We will deal with the AIR problem.
Here we go!
Head on over to www.tweetdeck.com, and click the almighty Download button. A dialog box requesting permission to download and install Adobe AIR, which we do want, so click Yes.
Once AIR is install, it will automatically start installing TweetDeck. But you do need to click Install. Choose the options you want, and let it install. And agree to the license agreement. THEN it installs.
Woo! TweetDeck has successfully installed. Now, once you opened (unless you told it open for you), you're asked to log in to Twitter. Do so, and you come to the interface (or UI, user interface), with three sections, All Friends, Replies, and Direct Messages. All Friends shows basically what the Twitter page shows, all messages from all your friends and the people you're following. Replies are all you @ replies, so if someone adds @*yourusername* to their message, you'll see it there. Direct Messages, however, are unknown to me, so I can't give you any information. Sorry.
Oh, and you can also see your Facebook friends status messages. Just click the Facebook button and login. It's that simple!
See you at next post!
